The AWS Certified SysOps Administration certification exam was created to validate candidates’ skills and knowledge, and enhance their career opportunities. The certification will allow the candidate to become an expert in AWS services concepts. AWS SysOps Administrator Associate certification validates and validates your skills in managing, operating, and deploying AWS-based services.
The AWS SysOps administrator exam validates the ability to manage, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant AWS systems. Candidates who plan to take the AWS Certified SysOps administrator exam should have at least two years of experience in systems administration. A basic understanding of virtualization technology is also required. The candidate must also be able to monitor and audit the systems experience, as well as translate architectural requirements. A fair understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP and Firewalls is also required.
Exam Format
It is important to understand the format of the exam before you begin your preparations. It serves as a guideline for the exam and helps candidates prepare for what they will encounter on exam day. The exam format will help candidates align their preparations with the objectives of the exam. First, the exam will require the candidate to attempt 65 multiple-choice and multi-response questions. It will take 170 minutes for the candidate to complete the exam. It will cost them approximately $300 USD and can be completed in English, Japanese Korean, and simplified Chinese languages. To be eligible for this credential, they must score between 75% and 80%.
